Days Behind – Out Here Alone
It’s quarter to three
And I’ve got all my friends with me
I’m trying to find out why I feel I’m on my own
According to me I feel as though
I’m out here alone
Running down a one-way road
A girl upon my shoulders
The moon reveals the evidence of rain
The hills are filled with fireflies
And bridges that are burning
Every other night I find the same
But right now
It’s quarter to three
And I’ve got all my friends with me
I’m trying to find out why I feel I’m on my own
According to me I feel as though
I’m out here alone
It’s another takedown on shakedown street
And everybody’s lost their wages
With a smile the wild one plays the game
In a town of babes and thieves
Where liars steal from strangers
It’s funny how the dark of night
Can light up the shade
